To generate Trackbacks use the Update Service at the bottom of the Options -> Writing menu on the Admin console of wordpress.
The ones I use are:

I have been having all kinds of problems with the wsiwyg wordpress editor on OSX.

It won’t take any kind of formatting like the carriage return that I just put at the end of the previous line. I want to see if a PC does this better?

OK… so far so good. Now how about adding a link to Houston on Google Maps?
